As summer winds down and back-to-school excitement heats up, the Kamloops RCMP Detachment is reminding students, guardians, and teachers about the importance of slowing down and getting there safely.
With the start of September comes the annual return of school-zone speed limits, accompanied by traffic enforcement at the beginning of and throughout the school year. These measures are intended to encourage motorists to obey the reduced speed limits of 30 kms/hr in school zones, between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday.
