Police investigating fatal motorcycle collision

A man has sadly succumbed to his injuries following a single-vehicle collision in Knutsford Wednesday afternoon.

On Sept. 6, 2023, around 1:30 p.m. the Tk’emlúps Rural RCMP Detachment responded to a report of a crash involving a motorcycle on Hwy 5A at Cardu Hill. Officers arrived and found paramedics tending to the rider, along with civilians who were first on scene and provided first-aid. The victim was transported to hospital with injuries believed to be non-life-threatening at the time.

The victim, a man in his 70s, sadly succumbed to his injuries later that night, said Corporal Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson.

No criminality is currently suspected by police. The BC Coroners Service is conducting a concurrent investigation.
