Missing a tooth? Suspect sought in investigation

Police are looking for a suspect, possibly missing a tooth, after a break and enter report escalated to an aggravated assault.

On Monday Sept. 25, 2023, just after 1 a.m., Kamloops RCMP frontline officers were called to the 900-block of Victoria Street, where a man had been assaulted with a blunt object after interrupting a break and enter in progress. The victim was transported to hospital with serious injuries, believed to be non-life-threatening.

During the altercation, the victim managed to strike the suspect and possibly knock out one of his teeth, said Corporal Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP Detachment spokesperson. If you know anyone who had one less tooth on Monday morning and may be a suspect, please contact police as soon as possible.
