Police seek to identify person of interest in groping incident

Person of interest in groping incident at Woodgrove Centre

The Nanaimo RCMP is continuing their investigation into a report of a female being groped in the parking lot of the Woodgrove Centre. The incident occurred at approximately 4:45 pm on Saturday February 20, 2021. Investigators have recently obtained a still photo of a person of interest who may have information that can further the investigation.

The man shown is believed to be either Indigenous or Hispanic, 25-30 years old and approximately 5 ft. 7 to 5 ft. 10. In the photo he is wearing camo pants, dark shoes and a dark coloured hoodie with a logo on the front of The North Face. He was wearing a camo coloured face mask.
