One-year anniversary of homicide spurs public plea

May 2021, marks the one-year anniversary of the death of James Roberts. RCMP continue to seek public assistance to resolve this violent tragedy.

On Friday, May 15, 2020, the body of James Roberts was located in Terrace. BC Emergency Health Services attended and confirmed that Roberts was deceased. Terrace RCMP believe that his death occurred on May 14, 2020 and that it was the result of a targeted, serious, violent attack. Terrace RCMP continue to follow up on every tip and continue to investigate this incident with support from the North District Major Crimes Unit (NDMCU).

This investigation has remained active from the beginning. Our goal is to find the truth of what happened to James, and one area that we can accomplish this is through information from witnesses. I recognize that this is a difficult request in a small community, but I ask that everyone join me in supporting James’ family and call with any information that may help with the investigation and bring healing and closure to the family and friends, said S/Sgt Mike Robinson, Terrace RCMP.
