Man stabbed on Columbia Street

Today, March 24, 2020 at 11:45 am, Kamloops RCMP was notified that a man had been stabbed near the Husky Station on Columbia Street West.

It appears that after the man was allegedly assaulted at the Husky Station, two other men assisted him to cross Columbia Street and go to the Star Lodge. From the Star Lodge, the victim was transported to a local medical facility by British Columbia Emergency Health Services. Police believe that the victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect was last seen running across McGill Road towards the Wendy’s Restaurant. He was wearing a black hoodie that has a large design on the front and grey sleeves, grey sweatpants and white runners with a black stripe.

Kamloops RCMP is asking anyone who can identify the suspect to contact them at 250-828-3000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. Kamloops RCMP would also like to talk to the two men who assisted the victim from the Husky station to the Star Lodge.
