Update - RCMP investigate shots fired

On October 1, 2020 at 5:15 pm the Kamloops RCMP received a report of gunshots in the area of Willow Street. The resulting investigation revealed a vehicle had driven up to a residence on Willow Street and fired several shots at the home which was occupied at the time. Nobody was physically injured. The investigation promptly took police to a residence in the Dallas Drive area where the suspect in question was arrested by members of the Kamloops Crime Reduction Unit with support from the South East District Emergency Response Team.

David Jeffery Tremblay, 34, of Kamloops, BC has been charged with:
- Fail to comply with a release order by being in possession of a firearm contrary to section 145(5)(a) Criminal Code , and
- Intentional discharge of firearm into a place knowing a person was present contrary to section 244.2(3)(b) Criminal Code.
David Tremblay is currently remanded in custody pending a bail hearing.
To advance this investigation a photograph of David Tremblay is being released.
This was a broad daylight, brazen drive by shooting in a residential neighbourhood. Thankfully nobody was killed but we have seen incidents exactly like this result in innocent people being killed. If you saw David Tremblay anywhere in Kamloops on October 1st or 2nd, please contact the Kamloops RCMP. This incident was targeted but clearly presented a danger to anyone in the area. The persons involved are associated to the local drug trade.
