Attempted murder suspect arrested in Kamloops

A man is in custody after Kamloops RCMP executed an arrest warrant for more than half a dozen offences, including attempted murder.

On January 11, just after 10 a.m., Kamloops RCMP received a report that a man wanted on a warrant for attempted murder and firearms offences may be at a location on Victoria Street. Frontline officers attended the area along with the Police Dog Service. The man surrendered without incident.

Terrance Jones, 40, of no fixed address, faces one count each of attempted murder, assault with a weapon, aggravated assault, robbery with a firearm, point a firearm, possession of a weapon, and use of firearm in an offence.

All charges are related to Salmon Arm RCMP file 2020-5007, from August last year. Mr. Jones is currently being held for court.
