If you own this truck or know who does, Kamloops Mounties would like to talk to you.

The Kamloops RCMP Detachment is looking for a vehicle of interest in relation to an arson file from November 28, 2020. On that day, around 2:17 a.m., frontline officers were called to a building at 6th Avenue and Lansdowne Street after sparks were observed coming from a construction site, followed by a man running down the road with a jerry can. A vehicle was also heard taking off from the area.

A burgundy Ford truck with a unique boat or lumber rack. The driver’s side headlight appeared to be burnt out. The truck appears to be in motion on the roadway.

The Kamloops Fire Department attended and extinguished two smouldering areas on the building’s second floor.

Officers obtained surveillance footage which showed a vehicle coming and going several times from the area. Police would like to talk to the owner of the vehicle, or whoever was driving it at the time, as part of their investigation.

The truck is believed to be a burgundy Ford F250 or F350, with a unique boat or lumber rack. The driver’s side headlight appeared to be burnt out.
