Fire file leads to mischief charges for Kamloops man

A man faces mischief charges following a report of fires being set at a building on Victoria Street.

On January 27, around 2:08 p.m., Kamloops RCMP attended a building on the 400-block of Victoria Street for a report of a man setting fires. Frontline officers and Kamloops Fire Rescue attended and found the remnants of a small fire, which had already been put out. A witness provided police with a suspect’s name and description.

Around 3:10 p.m., police were called to the 100-block of 4th Avenue for a report of a man who was allegedly interfering with traffic in a parking lot and had a small fire lit. A suspect was located, arrested and held in custody for court, after which he was released by a judge with conditions.

Keghan Samuel Cosh, 38, of Kamloops BC, is charged with one count of mischief.
