File # 2022-13488

The Kamloops RCMP Detachment is looking for witnesses and information, after an injured man was located near Lafarge Bridge early this morning.

On April 26, 2022 around 5 a.m., Kamloops RCMP frontline officers responded to Shuswap and Lafarge roads for a report of a man with obvious injuries, sitting in the roadway. Initially, the man indicated his legs had been blown off, but no major trauma to them was observed.

The man was transported to hospital by ambulance and has since allegedly walked away, without participating further in the investigation, said Constable Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson.

Anyone who may have observed or captured anything on dash cam that could be related to the circumstances of the man’s arrival there, is asked to please contact police at 250-828-3000 and reference file 2022-13488.
