The Kamloops RCMP Detachment is releasing images of two suspects as part of its investigation into a shooting at an Aberdeen motel this weekend.

On Saturday Sept. 16, 2023, around 2:35 a.m., Kamloops RCMP Detachment frontline officers responded to a report of shots fired at a unit in a motel on the 1300-block of Hugh Allan Drive. Multiple officers attended and confirmed gunshots had been fired, but that no one present was injured. The suspect truck, a black Dodge Ram, was located on fire around 2:50 a.m. on the 2000-block of Tremerton Drive. It was reported to have been stolen from a residence on Belfour Drive around 2:30 a.m.

As part of the ongoing investigation, officers have collected security images of two suspects and are releasing them with the hopes that someone will recognize who they are, said Corporal Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson. We are asking the public to please have a look at what the suspects are wearing, including their footwear, and contact us with any information that may help lead to an identification.

The suspects are described as males; one dressed in a black jacket, dark pants, and white shoes with orange on the back; the other in a dark jacket, blue jeans, and black shoes with orange on the bottom.

Those with information, security or dash cam footage, related to the stolen vehicle report, shooting, or fire are asked to please contact the Kamloops RCMP Detachment at 250-828-3000 and reference file 2023-33666.
