Check wellbeing:

The Kitimat RCMP received a call to check the wellbeing of a person near the 400 block of City Centre, in Kitimat BC on April 6th 2023. It was reported a person appeared to be hunched over and there was a concern of their health. Kitimat RCMP officers attended and located the person. An ambulance was called and they were transported to a local hospital for treatment. (2023-1102)

Cause a disturbance:

During the evening hours of April 7th, 2023, the Kitimat RCMP were called for a person causing a disturbance and refusing to leave a business located on the 100 block of Nechako Centre, in Kitimat BC. Once on scene the RCMP officers were able to locate the person responsible for causing the disturbance. It was found the person was intoxicated. The person was arrested for causing a disturbance by being intoxicated in a public place. They were lodged into the Kitimat RCMP cells and released, without charge once sober. (2023-1108)

911 call:

On April 9th 2023, the Kitimat RCMP were advised of a dropped 911 call from a residence. Officers from the Kitimat RCMP attended and found that there was an active medical call on going and it was being looked after. The officers ensured there was nothing they could do to assist and cleared from the area. (2023-1115)

Cause a disturbance:

A call was received by the Kitimat RCMP regarding a disturbance on the 200 block of City Centre in Kitimat BC on April 9th, 2023. It was reported that a male was going in and out of a business, yelling and swearing. The investigating officers attended and located the male. The male became confrontational and was found to be intoxicated, resulting in being arrested for causing a disturbance by being intoxicated in a public place. The male was transported to and lodged in the Kitimat RCMP cells until sober, then released without charge. (2023-1121)

Tire troubles:

While on routine patrol on Highway 37, north of Kitimat BC, on April 9th, 2023, a Kitimat RCMP officer located a vehicle that appeared to be in distress. The officer stopped to ensure all was well and was advised that the vehicle had a flat tire and the tools for changing he tire were in poor shape. A friend was on their way to assist with better tools. The officer stayed to assist in slowing traffic down so the tire could be changed roadside in a safer manner. (2023-1124)

Concern for a friend:

On April 11th 2023 the Kitimat RCMP received a check well being complaint. The complainant asked that the RCMP check on their friend who was working in the Kitimat area at a camp. The subject of complaint was located and advised he was doing way better now and was reaching out to follow up with resources. The complainant was updated (2023-1133).

Drunk in public:

During the early evening hours of April 12th, 2023, the Kitimat RCMP were dispatched to Fulmar St, Kitimat BC to check on a group of individuals that appeared to be intoxicated. The officer attended and located two individuals that had been drinking. One person was taken into custody for causing a disturbance by being intoxicated in a public place. They were lodged at the Kitimat RCMP cells and released the following day after receiving a violation ticket for being intoxicated in a public place and consume liquor in a public place, both fines under the Liquor Control and Licensing Act.
