File # 2023 -2205

On Saturday April 15th the Dawson Creek RCMP were contacted after the discovery of the body of a man in the Kiskatinaw river near the Kiskatinaw Bridge on the Old Alaska Hwy in Dawson Creek.

Investigators are working to identify the male who is described as approximately 30-50 years of age.

This is a historic bridge, and many people travel to photograph and walk across the bridge said Sergeant Chris Manseau, media relations officer for the BC RCMP. Investigators believe that someone who was on the Kiskatinaw Bridge in the days prior may have photographs or video that could be useful to the investigation.

The BC RCMP North District Major Crime Unit was contacted for assistance and since taken conduct of the investigation.

Please call the Dawson Creek RCMP at 250-784-3700 if you were on or near the historic Kiskatinaw Bridge, or have video and photographs of that area, between Friday April 14th and Saturday April 15th.
