Check well being

On June 7, 2023 a nurse reported on behalf of an elderly man, the man had not heard from his elderly partner residing in Lillooet, he requested police assistance in checking on his partners well being. The partner called police himself and stated he was well and in Kamloops, adding his partner was since aware of his whereabouts.

Stolen bicycle located

On June 9, 2023 a man reported his bicycle was stolen by an unknown person, he had located the bicycle outside a trailer park in Lillooet. He was able to identify and describe the details on the bicycle, police attended the address as the owner retrieved his bicycle. There was no evidence for any suspects.

Puppy bit by shepherd mastiff

On June 9, 2023 police received a report a puppy was bit by a large Shepherd Mastiff near the Lillooet Rec Centre. The puppy was checked and did have a minor bite wound. The owner of the Shepherd Mastiff was spoken to and was apologetic stating the dog only wanted to play, she offered monetary assistance to the puppy owner for any vet bills.

Wildfire Act

On June 13, 2023 Lillooet RCMP accompanied the Lillooet Fire Chief to an open fire in the outskirts of town at a private property. A resident on the property claimed that he had just learned of the fire ban from a neighbour and was extinguishing it. The Lillooet Fire Chief informed the man he could face a $500 fine, he was given a verbal warning at the time.

Mischief

On June 16, 2023 CN Rail reported someone had broken two windows with rocks at the CN Train Station at 1300 Main St. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Lillooet RCMP, please reference Lillooet RCMP file 2023-1703.

Vehicle Incident on the Highline

On June 16, 2023 an unknown person reported a blue 2012 Mazda hit into a bridge meridian and was stuck against a cement barrier along the Highline FSR (West of Seton Portage). Lillooet RCMP extensively patrolled the full length of the Highline, the vehicle was not seen nor any persons in distress, nor was seen by passer bys on the road at the time. The driver and owner of the vehicle was spoken to the following day, he stated he was able to drive his vehicle out with assistance from someone and subsequently made it home safely.

Impaired Operation

2023-1226
On June 20, 2023 Lillooet RCMP stopped a black dodge ram pickup on Main St for a license/sobriety check. The driver blew a Fail on the approved screening device and was subsequently prohibited from driving for 90 days, the vehicle was impounded for 30 days. The matter was referred to ICBC.
