Uttering threats

2023-2564

On November 28, 2023 a woman reported her husband had been threatened by their neighbours. The neighbours called and reported the opposite, stating that they had been threatened. Lillooet RCMP attended and spoke with all parties and learned they’re had been on going issues over a dog barking resulting in the arguments. Both parties agreed not to communicate further and were warned, the dog barking complaints were advised to be directed to District By-Laws. There were no further issues.

Suspicious person

2023-2573

On November 30, 2023 a caller reported there was a man in an orange shirt standing in the middle of Main St yelling, he appeared to be high. A Lillooet RCMP member patrolled the area and talked to people in the area. No such person was seen by police during patrols.

Logging truck incident

2023-2570

On November 30, 2023 a Lytton-Lillooet RCMP member attended to a logging truck stuck on a barricade on Hwy 12 near 6-mile road. The logging truck had overshot the turn and went part way up on three cement barricades. There were no injuries, no affect to traffic. Through the investigation there was no indication of any criminal wrong doing. The matter was referred to ICBC.

Check well being

2023-2577

On December 1, 2023 a caller requested a well being check on her cousin who was possibly residing in a rural part of Lillooet. Lillooet RCMP attended the address provided by the caller, no person was seen at the residence. The caller was updated and believed her cousin may have been out of town, there were no further concerns reported.

Mischief

2023-2576

On December 1, 2023 a caller reported her daughter was causing a disturbance, intoxicated, and had broken a window at their residence. Lillooet RCMP attended and spoke with the mother who did not seek charges. The daughter was located intoxicated in the backyard on the property and subsequently spent the night at the Lillooet RMCP detachment cells when no other alternative was available. She was released when sober the following morning without any charges.

Motor vehicle collision

2023-2590

On December 3, 2023 Lillooet RCMP received a delayed report of a motor vehicle incident on Highway 99 between Lillooet and Pemberton. A Lillooet RCMP member located a single vehicle stuck in a snow ditch, no one was inside nor present, the vehicle was towed. Lillooet RCMP got a hold of the driver later who advised he slid off the road, after which he got a ride to Pemberton from a passer by. He stated he had no injuries. The matter was refferred to ICBC. 

Suspicious vehicle

2023-2606

On December 6, 2023 Lillooet RCMP received a report that there was a suspicious vehicle driving back and fourth on Moon creek road, honking its horn and playing music loudly. A Lillooet RCMP member responded when available and made patrols which were unfruitful, there was no further such concerns reported. 

Mental Health Act

2023-2617

On December 7, 2023 Lillooet RCMP received a reported of a suicidal person near Old Bridge road, the person had expressed suicidal ideations to another person. Lillooet RCMP members attended and located the person who was apprehended under the mental health act and transported to the Lillooet hospital for further medical/mental health assessment. There were no further police concerns/involvement. 

Reporting reminder

With the holidays approaching Lillooet-Lytton RCMP advise keeping receipts of high value items purchased, along with having pictures of items and serial numbers. Receipts, serial numbers, and pictures significantly increase the chances of recovery of items if ever stolen.
