Eleven new charges laid against Dawson Creek man

On 13th April 2024 the Dawson Creek RCMP arrested and successfully brought 11 new criminal charges against Dawson Creek resident, Tanner Murray, age 29.

In the evening of 13th April 2024 police arrested Tanner without incident after finding him in violation of several of his release order conditions resulting from matters already before the court such as flight from police, possessing a firearm for a dangerous purpose and robbery.

The arrest and investigation of Tanner resulted in the subsequent search of a vehicle which yielded copious amounts of ammunition, a loaded firearm and support gear for organized crime among other things.

All together he faces 7 counts of breaching a release order related to this incident, occupy a vehicle knowing there was a firearm in the vehicle, possessing a defaced firearm, operate a vehicle while impaired and transporting a firearm in an unsafe manner.

Police have applied to keep Tanner in custody however it is expected he will be released back into the community.
