Police continue to investigate a reported assault

On Tuesday, January 2, 2024, Houston RCMP responded to a report at a local apartment building of an assault taking place.
Upon arrival, police located one person with significant injuries and was taken to hospital by BC Ambulance for urgent treatment.
Based on information received in the infancy of the investigation, one person was eventually located and taken into custody where they remain pending a bail hearing.
The investigation is active and support units are assisting the Houston RCMP as they continue to gather evidence.
